Welcome!

GROMAČA — a beautiful village in the Dubrovnik hinterland, set on green hills of Mediterranean vegetation with views of the blue Adriatic Sea.

It hides a beautiful stone house built from hand-cut stone in the time of the Dubrovnik Republic. The house today bears the name VILLA KATE and the true wealth of tradition and heritage of the LAPTALO family.

Scents and flavours, folk costumes, songs and dances, gourmet treats prepared from home-grown products, handicrafts, olive oil, wine, whisked eggs, domestic animals — all this is just a few kilometres from the old city centre.

In a fully restored old Dubrovnik coastal house, with a beautiful approach overgrown with lavender, immortelle and rosemary, our kind hosts will welcome you with open hearts and wide smiles, offering a drop of rakija and dried fig — the traditional welcome of our region.
